St. George - Shelby Performs at Tuachan

Shelby had such a great experience last weekend. A few of the singing groups from her studio was invited to perform at the Tuachan "pre-show" that is out on the plaza before the Broadway shows start. What a fun time we had. We arrived on Thursday and checked into our hotel room, Shelby, Samantha and Cassie (with Me as a chaperon) stayed in one room. We got ready and headed to Tuachan for the first night of events, that night 2 of the groups performed and then we got to have a catered dinner and stay to watch Le Miserable - it was so good. (Except for all the BATS, the evening was wonderful.) Shelby and her Friends got to meet some of the cast afterwards and even ended up with a phone number... ;)

Friday morning started with a HIP HOP clinic at a dance studio in St. George. The kids had a blast!! They spent 2 hours learning a hip hop routine that they all absolutely love. We went from that back to the hotel for a pool party. I decided that with 4 girls wanting to get ready, this would be a good time to go shower and get ready for the evening.

Friday night, Shelby's group - Just Girlz got to perform - they did such a great job! Wow! The stage was great, the setting was beautiful and they all gave it 100% that night. It was so fun to see them draw such a crowd from the people coming to the Tuachan shows that night. I was so proud of them. They were certainly a HIT!! After their show, we went to the indoor theater to see the High School Musical play. It was a lot of fun and the girls again stayed to meet the cast.

Saturday morning, I had to leave early to head to a wedding in Manti, so I left Shelby and the girls asleep. They got up that morning for a vocal workshop back at Tuachan with some of the cast of Le Miz. They had an amazing time, learned so much and will never forget the time they had together and the experiences that got to have.
