I'm sure most of you know that Melinda' dad - Joe Lake - is the co-founder of Children's Miracle Network. Saturday, we were invited to a special building dedication that was a great honor to our dad. CMN is moving their International (as they have added hospitals in Ireland, UK, and soon Australia & Costa Rica) Headquarters to downtown Salt Lake. They are in the process of remodeling an existing building on 7th South and 2nd West. They designed a beautiful corner-stone complete with dad's name as a co-founder and then invited us to the Corner Stone Ceremony and Building Dedication. It was awesome!!! We are so proud of dad, his accomplishments and the amazing legacy he has built. I remember the "old" days of the small office at Brighton Bank and the live telethon from Osmond Studios in Provo, then on to Disneyland and eventually Disney World. I have some great memories and a special place for the friends of CMN. Just think what started in our basement, with mom as the secretary is now 25 years old and includes 184 affiliated hospitals, 107 television partners, 270 radio partners and 75 corporate sponsors... raising a total of more than $3.4 Billion!! Needless to say, I am very proud every time I see "Grandpa's Balloon." I'm so proud of you Dad, you are an amazing father, grandfather and friend. You should be so proud. You are the most giving, kind and amazing man!! Thank you for all you've taught us and what you continue to teach us and our children. We Love You!!!

Wow, that is really cool - I didn't know that about your dad. He has done so much good for so many people, that is amazing! Thank goodness for people like that! (obviously it runs in the family)
